About Us

Welcome to 10-8 Design LLC - we’re glad you’re here.
We’re a family-owned small shop based right here in Spokane, Washington. It’s just the two of us, Blaine and Cody, and we run this business out of the same garage we remodeled together after renovating most of our home by hand. We’ve always been a team, and starting this business was one more way for us to build something together - something our daughter can grow up around and learn from.
For years we talked about launching an apparel and design business, and in 2025 we finally decided to pull the trigger. A big part of that was wanting to show our daughter that creativity and hard work can take you anywhere. We wanted her to grow up watching us build something from scratch, taking risks, and chasing ideas outside our comfort zones.
The name “10-8 Design” comes from first responder radio code - it means “in service.”
To us, that’s exactly what this business stands for: ready, available, and here to help people bring their ideas to life.
I’ve been a first responder since 2010, and Cody has worked in medicine for over a decade. Being a first responder shapes everything about how we work - strong ethics, attention to detail, humor when you need it, and a desire to help people. We’re proud to be union members, and we try to use American-made apparel and materials whenever we can.
We have a love for creating and making new things, learning new skills. We fell in love with the creativity of the laser, and we added embroidery because it felt like a natural extension of what we wanted to create. Right now, we’re doing everything from:
• Laser-engraved gifts
• Custom tumblers
• Firefighter-themed merch
• Embroidery
• Apparel printing
• Patches and hats
• Wood engraving
• Local small-business merch
We care about quality, fair pricing, and doing things the right way. At the end of the day, we want people to feel something when they open their order — either the excitement of seeing their custom idea brought to life, or just a good laugh from one of our firefighter or medical-themed designs.
As 10-8 Design grows, our goal is simple: keep learning, keep improving, and keep expanding what we offer. We want to stay creative, try new things, and continue building a shop that supports first responders, families, and anyone who appreciates handmade work.
Thank you for being here and supporting a small Spokane family chasing a dream. It means more than you know.
